Review summary

It was great! We needed some family time and we were able to accomplish FAMILY TIME...LOTS OF FAMILY TIME!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation system has been refined. I use VeriFly for my COVID documents, so it is very simple and ease to go through the checkpoints. In addition, the Carnival staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room staff was excellent. With that being said, the Lido deck buffet was boring, cold, and small. We enjoyed Guy's burgers and Pig and Anchor, but we could not eat in the buffet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We went to the shows at nights and LOTS of trivia. In addition, we saw the ice craving, played basketball, hung on the ropes course, and shot pool.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The DJ on the ship was good. The ship did not have the shows or piano bar as it did in March, but the small singers around the ship were great!

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My child enjoyed the Kids' Club and my teen enjoyed O2. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff did an excellent job EVERYWHERE! I found people friendly, helpful, and kind.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was very clean as was the room. BUT, everyone complained about the design of the ship. For the dining area, aft, it was difficult to walk around, up or down, to enter the front of the restaurant.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean and our Steward was about to provide service. I like my room serviced twice (since we travel with four people) because I like the sofa bed and ceiling bed made. It is difficult to try to get ready for the evening with the bed still hanging from the ceiling. I understand the staff shortage.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

4 out of 5
We rented golf carts. It was easy and the long line was quick.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
Besides drinking, there is not much to do in town.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
WE did have to wait since there was a medical emergency. But, with the scan and go technology, we were off the ship right away when our muster station was called.
