The Pride is a nice ship and perfect size for a Senior. It is an older ship but just went through update. If you are looking for mellow cruise with not all the bells and whistles of larger ships she is the one. The Serenity Deck also has a small pool which was really nice. Most Serenity Decks have jacuzzi only nice to have a quiet pool to use
Embarkation

Excellent. We did valet parking which we set up online prior to cruising. You pull in they take your luggage over for you to ship and you get your parking card and proceed to check in. Excellent service . Truly only way to go
You can go to Port Tampa Bay Cruise parking for regular parking or valet
We checked in on time and they moved us very quickly through check in. We parked car at 12:30 and was on ship by 1:00 pm
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

I thought the food was very good. We ate in the dining room every evening. The first dress up night was really good with tender filet BUT it was cold. Seemed to be a backup in kitchen. Our servers were excellent . We had 6pm seating with same servers each evening. Jester and Tunya always greeted us with a kind smile
Onboard Activities

We really relaxed much but truly enjoyed Polaris Trio violists. They were on the Horizon in Feb and did the Celestial Strings Playlist Show on that cruise.Truly gifted musicians. They played in the atrium the first five evenings

Service and Staff

Our room steward did a nice job. We always have our room done at 6 pm while we are at dinner. Dinner servers again very good. Atrium Bar server Rosa was excellent with good personality and quick service for such a busy bar
Ship Quality

Our room was clean but I always bring wipes and do all handles and wipe down bathroom especially shelves as they are always dusty Also chairs on balcony needed wiped down. Just used to doing myself and knowing it is clean. We ask for ice every day when cleaning and they put ice bucket in fridge to keep cold. Works well
Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice cabin. Our balcony was a bit small and Serenity Deck was over us. I wear earplugs to sleep so always quiet. My husband noticed each night about 3 am all chairs being moved and thought they were cleaning the floor up on the Serenity Deck. It was very conveniently located as Serenity deck along with Lido deck was right above us. We took the steps many times. Also very close to elevators as Dining room was just below us on deck two. Straight down
Please realize this is not a new ship but we love the size. Easy to get around and pretty much kept up
Ship tip
The Casino is Horrible. I have a set of just casino clothes I keep in a zippered bag. It is also VERY Hot. So much smoke and NO ventilation. I also did not win and the slot machines suck. Really disappointed. I spoke to people on the last night and No One said they won much of anything
Probably best disembarking of any cruise. We left room at 8. Called to leave at 8:30. Walk through with badge and Face recognition. Got to valet parking at 8:50 on the road to Tampa by 9. Home to Sun City Center by 9:40 am. Truly best experience we ever had and for us Tampa Cruising is way to go
Thanks for sharing. We are going on this ship in April to celebrate 🍾 our 50th wedding Anniversary. We are so excited 😊.Thanks again for sharing your trip.
We spent 4 months on the Pride in Europe last summer(2022). It is a good size as all the Spirit class is. Overall, as you said, easy to get around. Anxious to see the dry dock upgrades. Going again after Thanksgiving.
