Review summary
We cruised last in 1996 with Costa Italian cruse line. While the ship was gorgeous there was limited amount of interaction with the cruise staff and the patrons due to a language barrier throughout the entire ship. Fast forward 21 years later, my husband and I decided to cruise once again. We were pleasantly surprised from the very beginning. As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed! From our first photograph to the last. There were enough activities to keep you busy. Our bags were at our door when we arrived to our. Nestor was our room attendant, he was very pleasant and gave us his card if we needed anything. The atmosphere was positive staff as well the patrons on the ship. We were travelling with my daughter, son in law and children ages 18, 16, 13, 10 and 5. The children said they will remember for a life. We did not take advantage of day care but it comforting to know it was there. The food, pools and games were their favourite! We certainly do it again.

Ship tip
I would tell them pack more casual clothing and at least 3 formal wear for dinner and pictures. Comfortable shoes is a must! I we will try a balcony room to take advantage of the sea breeze. I loved having the last seating for dinner that gave us sufficient amount of time to rest before dinner.
