Review summary
The pride was dirty, food selection was very little, staff wasn't helpful. This is my 6 cruise and probably my final cruise. Also when booking I was mislead by rep and booking agent. I was told that I would receive a $50 giftcard for . The agent knew I wasn't a member but told me I could give it to someone who was a member or get a guest pass to use my gift card. I called this morning to collect my gift card and I was told that I can't have it because I'm not a member. They had no problem lying to me to get my money from my booking. I got off the ship 4 days early and was charges $300 to get off while still in the United States

The issue of getting off the ship prior to the disembarkation point is a bona fide regulation. We ran into something similar asking questions about a transatlantic voyage which stopped in Boston before ending in NYC. We preferred to disembark in Boston as we live 20 minutes from the cruise port. We were not looking for a discount because we would have saved more than enough $$ to offset the penalty. The cruise line strongly discouraged this plan citing regulations associated with premature disembarkation :/

We too have had some bad experiences with Carnival. We took our last cruise with them in January 2016. We've spent more than 10K with them and when we contacted Carnival, all they would say was should've bought travel insurance. We told them to remove us from your database and I will no longer use them and I'll be sure to let friends and family members know about their lack of customer service. They said " tjats your business." Shame on Carnival....

The Pride Abides - been on her 8 times - each time better than the last - it would appear that your problem was with the booking people - it's always best to request an e-mail spelling everything out in writing, and then just produce it if a problem arises...

I'm no big fan of Carnival but I can't imagine what was so bad it would have made me leave the ship early. I hope the OP comes back to give more details.

That's a law?
Sounds a bit silly, but when you think about --sorta makes sense.

Just a guess, but the $300 for getting off the ship early may have been for the fine the line had to pay for breaking the anti-cabotage laws, which forbid a foreign flagged line from transporting people from one US destination to another without having a foreign stop.

Getting off the ship early, why? If you booked with the Carnival Vacation Guarantee, then check this from the FAQ's at Carnival:
"HERE'S WHAT WE DO.If you decide within 24 hours of the start of your cruise that itâs not for you, simply notify Carnivalâs onboard Guest Services desk. Weâll take it from there. And if you decide later that you want to give Carnival another try, weâll even give a $100 per stateroom onboard credit to any guest in your party who exercised the guarantee and, within a year, books another Carnival cruise. "
However, it doesn't sound as if you booked with Carnival or booked a fare that included this guarantee.
I am very sorry you had such a bad experience. I can't say I have ever had anything like that in 30 Carnival sailings (including the Pride).

Thank you for posting your review. It is unfortunate that you had a negative experience but you neglected to provide sufficient detail for the rest of us to understand what the real problems were. A couple things in particular...
"Also when booking I was mislead by XXX rep and booking agent. I was told that I would receive a $50 giftcard for XXX."
If you did not book directly with Carnival, you realize that this has nothing to do with the cruise line, right? It is unfortunate but not all travel arrangers are "professionals".
"The agent knew I wasn't a member but told me I could give it to someone who was a member or get a guest pass to use my gift card."
It is unclear what "member" means.... member of what? If you are referring to Carnival's VIFP program, I think you may have been able to join via their website at anytime prior to booking the cruise. Another possibility is that this offer could have been a non-Carnival promotion. If that is the case, then how they handled the booking should be reported to the agency's owner, BBB, or a professional travel agent association.
"I got off the ship 4 days early and was charges $300 to get off while still in the United States".
This is something I do not understand at all.
Don't blanket blame Carnival for this experience because it sounds as though there were other entities involved.

So sorry that you had so many problems. I try to get everything in writing when booking a cruise. I bring copies of everything with me. So far I have not had any problems related to booking promises. I hope that it continues. Don't give uponcruising though. Use a different agency. There are plenty out there.

Why did you get off? What transpired that you had such a dismal experience? Please let us know.
