Review summary

I wanted to write a short review.  We took Carnival Pride out of Baltimore Md last year and it was great!  My husband and I took our honeymoon to the Bahamas,  Well we decided to take our son and my mother in law (it was their first cruise) back to the Bahamas on Carnival Pride.  I hate to say this but our room was not ready when we got on board of the ship.  There was dirty sheets and towels on the floors.  4 our of the 7 dinners we had in the dining area was bad.  Service was bad, I got food that came out wrong and came out cold and had to send it back.  I had booked a private island beach with BBQ lunch and when we got off the ship in the Bahamas they gave us a wrist band and it said Hamburg or Hot dog and a drink?  I paid for a BBQ lunch and wasn't excepting to have that.  Very disappointed.  If I would have known that I would have not paid the extra for the food and drink.  It was about $200 for 3 adults and 1 child.  I would have brought snacks and drinks with me.  For my mother in law and son's first cruise they didn't  have a good time.  I am not sure if I will be taking Carnival Pride again.

The rooms are never completely ready when you board. Usually you can put your stuff in the cabin early so you don't have to carry it around but you have to appreciate that the turn around time is very hectic. If you choose to enter early you need to be patient.

We have been on Pride 6 times never once had any issues, the room not being ready is no big deal to us it happened to us a few times

The Pride has always been amazing and BBQ means hot dogs and hamburgers but it does say it when u research the excursions

Had two cruises on The Pride, and never had a problem, either. This last time was week of July 24, 2016. First time we did a summer cruise. 70% of the cruisers were first timers (so we were told), so the pools and hot tubs were crowded most sea days. However, our embarkation went very well, and our cabin was ready by 130pm, and we got all of our luggage before muster

Sorry to hear that this cruise wasn't as great as the last one. Sometimes they can be hit or miss. Not sure what time you boarded but rooms are generally not ready till 1:30....sometimes earlier but that time is the norm. Also maybe it's just me but when I think of a BBQ lunch I think hamburgers and hotdogs. My advise would be....regardless of what cruise line you use next time....would be to do more research on things like this in advance. Trip advisor usually has tons of reviews for pretty much any excursion ... for cruise excursions and private excursions. I find out all sorts of stuff...good and bad...that isn't in the decription of the excursion just by reading these reviews from other people. Hope your next cruise is better!
