Review summary

This was my second cruise and my (new) husband's first. He was reluctant at the suggestion of a cruise, but acquiesced when he realized that it was the only way we would be undisturbed by cell phones, etc., while on our honeymoon. The crew were gracious and courteous; every request was fulfilled both satisfactorily and with alacrity. We are both very well traveled throughout Europe, Asia and Africa for business and pleasure, and this was by far the smartest and best decision we could have made! We recommend the wine purchase option for dinner as it saved us money in the long run. The ship is indeed a Renaissance theme, but we did not find anything offensive. For those who did, I have only one suggestion: do not visit Europe or anyplace that showcases classical art, to include the Vatican Museums, as those places might not suit their tastes or sensibilities either.

Pros: Cleanliness of the ship/rooms, international crew, personal attention and fabulous food!

Cons: Embarkation/debarkation was lengthy due to some medical emergencies, casino smoke.
