Excellent...ONE Exception!! by 96marval

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We really enjoyed all of our cruise! Great Service, Great Food, Great Weather and Great Entertainment!

There was a glitch however that was kind of disappointing to us...when we originally booked this cruise, back when, our Rep from extended a $50.00 on board credit. At the ship, we checked at the Customer Service desk and were informed that we only had a $25.00  OnBoard Credit. They said we could call them () to straighten this out!! Have you ever tried to call

ANYBODY from ANY SHIP!!??

I know that $25.00 is not really that big deal but I am just saying to check and double check what is offered to you. Like I said $25.00 is not that really big deal but if it was $300.00 then, it changes everything!!

Paradise needs replaceing by leon9306

worst cruise ever !!!!! Would never cruise on the Carnival Paradise again !

Reason - Old ship, could not secure a balcony room, small room[ ocean view] just could not move in room , over head bunk bed was folded to wall above our bed & stuck out appx  10 inches from the wall, hit head several times getting up at night.

Nothing can be done about a old ship ! other than sink it !! I book all my cruises through you, Pls remind me of this comment if I ever try to book on the Paradise !

I had to go on this cruise due to meeting friends, PS, My problems were with the ship ! The Crew and staff were Great, I also completed the Carnival survey !!

Booze Cruise Loose by thebugmanjr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have cruise on Royal Caribbean 3 times prior to this past first-time cruise on Carnival Paradise and bottom line it's not even close to Royal Caribbean. Royal Caribbean's service, food and overall Style and function puts Carnival to shame and I will never go back.

Two times people puked on the deck pool deck and cones sat around them for almost one hour while the rest of the boat walks by to get breakfast. Tables filled with old drinks full ashtrays and just the overall housekeeping on the boat was disgusting. We met our cabin Steward on the very last day and we were in our room lot..? The food selection was one third of the size of Royals the room service was a joke with only sandwiches and the main dining room menu was garbage and the only way to have a good steak was to pay an extra $20 unless you wanted a flat iron steak one night. No cool presentations with food or ice, the staff was as about as friendly as a truck stop. Just plain garbage in need of a serious paint job. One thing I liked was the room, bed and pillows, they were nice...thank God! BTW if your a fan of TX Hold'em..you play on a giant computer table that hits some wild river hands and is never up and running. Did hit on slot$, but still not even close to worth it.

Good for take some days off and be relax. Not much to do, but a lot of time for rest. Good shows at night but nothing interesting during the day. The pool is very small and was full most of the time 3 Jacuzzis is not enough for a lot of people, my only chance to used was one day very early in the morning and thats it.

Convenient Getaway, good service, food devoid of flavor in dining room by hilandski

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Service was great, balcony stateroom was perfect for three, entertainment was very good.  Like the departure point and short length.  Dining room food was devoid of flavor.  It was like they took a syringe and extracted the flavor from the butter, the salt, the sour cream, and the soups and the pie.  Ice cream was good, melting cake is good, fish is good.  Buffet salad bar was fresh and good.  I thought buffet breakfast was fresher.

Carnival ship by ttowerent

My favorite part The Cruise was the entertainment. The shows were funny and comedians we're great as well. Some of the things that needs Improvement are  the quality of the Food on the Lido deck.. As far as recommending carnival cruise to my friends and family I would definitely recommend.

This was our first cruise and it was pretty fun. They provide some good entertainment like lice music, stand up comedy, a movie showing, and some kid shows so there's definitely enough to keep you occupied whIle on the ship. The ports we stopped at were amazing and so beautiful. You can either book an excursion through Carnival which is easy and convenient or you can do some research on TripAdvisor and book your own for cheaper. We booked our own and it was awesome. The big complaint I would have would be the food. Often times the food was room temperature and made it unappetizing on top of the fact that half of the food was just cooked weird in general. They did have some very good food on board so you won't starve but choose wisely. I hear other ships beside the Paradise have much better quality so just something to keep in mind. Overall good experience.

Lots of fun by mjordan6720

My daughter and grand daughter traveled with me to Grand Caymen and Cozumel.

In Grand Caymen we met a wonderful man named Henri, who was offering an excursion to Hell, a dolphin park, and the rum factory for $20.00 a person. We took him up on his offer, and along with about 30 others boarded Henri's bus. It was the most entertaining day we had. Henri gave us the history of Georgetown as we traveled along. Pointing out many things we would have missed without his help. He had lived in the area his whole life and the daily excursions were his livelihood. He even offered to drop us at Seven Mile Beach on our return trip, and explained how the taxis ran to town from the beach every few minutes. Had we known that you could not access a beach so easily in Cozumel we would have gotten off the bus and enjoyed the beach. This is one day I will remember for a long time. In Cozumel you could walk off the boat into the town. Which we did, and we spent our time there shopping. It too was fun and interesting, but not as much fun as our time with Henri. In Cozumel you could see the beautiful water but there was no convenient access. So, we returned to the boat after shopping for a relaxing time in one of the hot tubs. This was my fourth Carnival cruise and I was disappointed with the food choices in our main dining room. There wasn't enough variety for my taste or what I recall from the previous cruises. However, the Lido deck offered a good assortment of various foods. So we found ourselves retuning there time after time. The entertainment on this cruise was also lacking per my previous cruise experiences. I actually stumbled upon a movie in the Queen Anne Lounge one evening by accident. There was nothing about it in the daily agenda that was left in our room. So I would like to recommend an area on the daily agenda be labeled "Movies" with the time and location posted boldly. Then those passengers who are not club hoppers or gamblers will have more options than the nightly entertainment on the stage. Where you only had a pitiful comic or a dance musical.

Carnival Paradise Review by kathykwatts

Restaurant Hostess staff not helpful and unfriendly-would not make reservation for all 22 family members to seat close together for dinner on my time seating. Bingo took at least 1 hour for ticket sales. One staff member goes to each person in the room to sell tickets instead of having several booths set up for folks to come to them to buy tickets. Very time consuming and frustrating. Food mediocre. I would not consider this ship again and maybe not any Carnival ship again for future sailings.

Thanksgiving Cruise Style! by lisamadcat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We departed on a pretty day from Tampa where a bountiful buffet awaited. Our room was ready by 1:30 and our luggage was already to our room so we quickly settled in. We enjoyed our day at sea - a good day to relax! Our day in Cozumel was very enjoyable - we went to do one of the dolphin encounters which we found to be a great experience...highly recommend. Thanksgiving - no cooking! While a turkey dinner was offered, I will have to say I missed some of my home cooked favorites, but it was still pretty neat just showing up to eat and then not having to clean up the mess! Our one disappointment on this cruise was that our Grand Cayman excursion was canceled somewhat last minute, but no one contacted us to help us pick out something else to do. We chose this cruise to go to somewhere we hadn't been before which was GRAND CAYMAN and we ended up not even getting off the ship that day. It wasn't a total loss because the pool and other areas were not crowded and most enjoyable. Final day at sea was relaxing. All in all a good time was had by all. Was a little disappointed in the evening musical entertainment - that lead female singer canNOT sing. She must have connections! The best entertainment were the three violinists in the main atrium each evening. AWESOME. Would love to have been able to purchase a cd. The best. For was pretty good....but don't get the lobster bisque - looked like muddy water and tasted about the same. All personnel very friendly.

20 year Anniversary Cruise by Cruiser999361

This cruise was amazing!  The Paradise met our expectations and was the perfect boat for my husband and I...not too big and not too small.  The staff was very attentive, the food was good and our room was perfect.  We loved coming back every evening to see what towel animal our porter had left for us.  Thank you Carnival for a wonderful anniversary trip!

I would have been better if the ship was not so rocking which caused to have 4 members of my party out for most of the cruise due to motion sickness.

Cozumel is beautiful by punky03dance

The cruise itself had some rough waters but the island itself was completely worth it! I did not like the wait to board and disembark. The ataff was always smiling and friendly.

Carnival Paradise by luke22

We chose the  V16  state room because of the king bed and outside deck. The staff was friendly and helpful. The water in Cozumel was beautiful all the colors. The ship was a little dated, and the food was good but not great. The trip from Tampa to Cozumel was a little rough because of the weather not Carnivals fault but still rough! Overall I would go again with Carnival bot would like to try another ship maybe Carnival Oasis! Thanks for a nice trip

Unimpressed by OscarAle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

As soon as we arrived, it seemed caos. No one was there to greet, it seemed that the people that traveled before new where to go, but for me and my wife as first timers in Carnival it felt unorganized. Not impressed with the food or service. There was a problem with the alcohol purchased on the cruise. I don't think it was really resolved appropriately.  The room and dinner staff were polite and very nice they seemed overworked and under paid.
