Review summary

The cruise was ok. We stayed behind the hurricane and had a free day at sea as we were not able to get into Port. The ship needs a complete major overhaul. I hope they do a great job in Oct. If you are going on her before hand be aware.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
First time out of the port of Tampa. It was easy fast and efficient. It is a small port. Parking is across the street.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was ok. Not great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
It's a small older ship. Serenity area appears to be an afterthought. Only one pool besides the children's area. I don't use it so it wasn't a big deal.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows and comedy were good. However the shows seem to be the same on most ships.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was always friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I'm not a fan of the Paradise. You have to go up and down to get to certain floors.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was an inside cabin however it was a connecting cabin and felt bigger. The cooler didn't work. The ship is old and I complained about yellow water in sink. Plumbing issue that was fixed

Ship tip

It's an old ship going in to dry dock for the month of October. Hopefully they fix everything including the elevators and plumbing.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Didn't get an excursion as I have been there in the past. The port is completed but still not too much there as businesses haven't came on board. If you walk out to the street you have tons of vendors trying to rent you scooters or taxi tours.

Bimini, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Bimini is a tiny island. There is a beach right off the ship. However, just behind it, there is an awful smell of sulfur. Everyone seemed to enjoy the free beach They have a free tram that only makes 2 stops one is at a hotel for those who purchased the day stop and the other is so you can rent golf carts. $120 for the day. Then tou can go see the island. There were barely any shops. 2 to be exact as the port is fairly new.

Tampa, Florida

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was chaotic as many people wanted off. We were extended a day at sea due to the Hurricane and many people missed flights

On Bimini we took a seat in a van that went to the downtown area which had more shopping.
