Rude waiter in dining room. Would not give us paper menus because they had all kinds of germs on them. Told my husband to shut up so he could introduce himself.

Old ship 4 day cruise. Bad idea. Most people call them booze cruise!

This must've been your 1st cruise since I see no cruises in your profile. Do your homework on age/size of ship. If you want luxury, check the options and pay for your expectations.

I think probably cleaning staff are more stretched now, less people doing more cabins, cleaning equipment and dishes will probably sit for longer while they’re doing their job. It’s not great but as long as my cabin and main public areas were clean I’d try to look past it in the short term. Understand your disappointment though, hopefully you have better cruises in future.

It is not the room steward’s responsibility to pick up the dishes in the hallway, Carnival has a team that does that daily. Thank you for sharing your experience.

A newer ship on a longer itinerary may be better. The cruise lines seem to put their worst employees on the older, smaller ships. Most every cruise line, or any business, is short staffed now.

Well….dirty dishes should be picked up…doesn’t mean cruising is not for someone because they expect cleanliness. The ship should do better…..reducing standards is not the answer.
