The killer event that will cause me to not return to Carnival was the cancellation of a key excursion I had purchased which was the reason for me coming at all. The scuba dive in Roatan. Cancelled the night before we arrived so I had no time to line up alternatives. This was purchased through Carnival.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Allot of walking, but smooth process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
I really felt the food quality dropped from my prior cruise.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
I got a hair cut that was really good, but nothing else peaked my interest. I tried a couple of the meet/social gatherings and no staff members showed up to kick it off or designate an area where people could join.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Entertainment was really weak. A few comedians, some small crowd performers that were unknown and seemed to be passing the time...
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Smiles, but that is about a deep as you got...
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Paradise needs updating. Felt like a 70s show.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
The Paradise is really showing her age. The cabin was really small, no frills, just a place to sleep.
Just another case of somebody expecting Beverly Hills on a trailer park budget (nothing wrong with the trailer park ) just change your expectations relax and have fun
Go on other lines. Leave Carnival to us loyal customers who don’t complain about any little thing. Take breath and relax. Cancelling ports or excursions are not Carnivals fault. Think outside the box - the world and Carnival do not revolve around you
Many excursions were canceled on my recent cruise due to lack of staffing by the vendors providing the excursions. That is an issue in all businesses currently. Some excursions also list a minimum number of people to sign up before it will operate.
