Review summary

We are already planning our next cruise. We have cruised as a family on several cruise ships including the OASIS OF THE SEAS but The Paradise was perfect for our family. It was small enough that we always found a family member and never worried about the kids.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We completed the online forms prior to arriving at the port which made the process incredibly fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Every meal was fantastic. The portions were perfect because we could order two and there able to try dishes that we would not have been able to if there was too much of any one thing. The buffet was wonderful, each day was a different cuisine. The best was the deli. I have never had such a great ruben sandwich. And the grilled cheese was such a hit with my family members. And of course the endless ice cream trilled our children. Our dining room staff treated us as if we were someone special. Not enough words to say how awesome Brankodz, Slazoa, and Chandraeic (not the correct spelling of their names), treated my family. There were 7 adults and 5 children.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did everything. I will say the activities for the kids could have been better. But the two 15 years were completely happy with just "exploring" the ship. And the 9 and 11 year olds were excited to be swimming in December.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shawn the DJ was the most spectacular entertainer. He kept the crowd completely engaged in the karaoke. I allowed the kids to sing and the memories we have from that experience will remain with us forever. The comedians were also entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
See previous note regarding dining staff. Our room stewards were also available to accommodate any request that our family had.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No matter where you travel on the ship there was ALWAYS someone cleaning something.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My families room was small, but what we expected. Plenty of storage space. We used the under the bed for storing our suitcases so we freed up the two closets. We also put the life preserves under the bed. Our room had two air conditioning units so it was VERY comfortable. But the other three cabins did get a LITTLE bit warm. No one complained.

Ship tip

Try to get into E238. It was at the end so the noise level was 0. There was no one above us, and on the one side of us.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

We just walked around. No excursion as it was so nice to have the ship with less guests.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We took the Beach Island excursion for only $30. It was awesome. Not crowded and the staff attended to us every second. All we had to do was look up and there was someone to fulfill our requests. Beach was good, small but great swimming and jumping off the pier.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We choose to take our bags and disembark at a scheduled 8:00am, but they started at 7:50am. We were in our Uber at 8:15am.
