Review summary

I was mislead and told there wouldn't be that many kids on the ship. There were 900 kids. I specified this was my first cruise and I was single and I was told there should be a good mixture of people. I was told most families don't take 5 day cruises and it being new years I shouldn't have a problem. Also there was only one pool on the ship not 2

In addition to what JT said. Thanksgiving can be really crowded with families too. Holland may be your best option for little to no kids. Was it your Travel Agent that misled you or Carnival? How did you get the 900 number? I have been on some cruises with only a hundred or so, but they are so unruly that it seams like there are a thousand.

Interesting.

All school holidays are the busiest time on a ship, loaded with kids. We prefer to travel when kids are in school just for this reason. Not sure who you spoke with but if you wanted a holiday cruise then you have to deal with it. Probably less kids on bye cruise than Christmas cruise.

Not sure who told you that, but Christmas and New Year’s are probably the 2 busiest weeks for families and children to cruise. For less children and crowds, cruise when school is in session, take a cruise longer than 7 days or try Princess, Holland America, Crystal, Symphony, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas or Viking.
