too expensive for what you get. too many unforeseen expenses once we boarded. not enough to do on the ship and not enough time at Grand Cayman. Bartenders were awful. We will not be cruising in the near future. Feels like a waste of money
Embarkation
4 out of 5
no issues, went smoothly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was great. Options were great.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Never enough room in the pool for kids. Not enough activities to enjoy as a family. Only activity kids wanted to do was the water slides.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Shows were catered to older children and adults. Very disappointing. Need more magic, puppets, things for younger crowds
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
They had fun but area is way too small. Definitely not enough programs and TOO MUCH ADVERTISING toys, things to buy. We paid enough already. Kids were bored half the time.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Servers and room stewards were always friendly and warm. Bartenders were extremely rude, unfriendly and looked annoyed with guests.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Very clean and maintained, however, one of the main elevators was broken the entire time and so many areas were under construction. Very old, outdated ship. Needs major upgrades (more pools, more activities, more for families)
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Always was clean and comfortable. Balcony rooms, however, should be more spacious for the price. A room with just a window is much cheaper and is the exact same size as our balcony room. Balcony rooms need lower prices. Not sure if it's worth the extra cost.
Ship tip
There weren't enough activities for young kids and families. The ship is old and outdated. I would not sail on this ship again.
Hmmm.... according to the fun times there's dance parties, Hasbro family games, trivia, board and card games, comedians, singing and dancing shows, water works, etc. The cruise is what you make of it. Oh and cozumel is one of my favorite ports and similar to many ports, tourism is the main money maker so yes you might have to walk through shops. Doesn't mean you have to buy anything! We love cruisin and I have my 4 one booked in December! My kids love it too and always find something fun to do
This is an older ship on a short itinerary aimed at first-time and budget-conscious cruisers. A longer itinerary on a newer ship will usually be a better experience. As far as additional expenses, there is no requirement to purchase anything above the basic cruise fare and tips. We don’t purchase alcohol or soft drinks, eat at specialty restaurants, gamble, shop or use ship excursions and still have a great time. We do take excursions, but primarily independent tours which tend to be cheaper, less crowded and last longer than the ship excursions.
You can only have so many things inside an old ship. Maybe next time you need to look at the bigger newest ship on bot carnival and Royal. Sometimes you get what you are willing to pay.
