Review summary

Overall a good experience. But those negatives really stand out and were a bummer. I may try a different ship or cruise line next time before I get book the Paradise again.

Holy smooth sailing! Quick & easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room staff was phenomenal! The food was diverse yet simple. It was nice to be able to try a variety of foods. There was no excitement to it, but the food was still good. Buffet lines sucked! They weren't always open when they said they were, so people had long lines in what was actually available. I didn't get a guy's burger so I can't say good or bad about them. However, I could've eaten tacos every time! They made the tortillas right there and the tacos were incredible!!!

Onboard Activities

Serenity Deck service was fantastic! Only a few young teenagers walked through but they didn't stay long. I think they were curious. I would've liked to have seen more umbrellas out during the heat of the day. And I appreciated that they moved more seating under the overhang (that filled up).

Entertainment

All of the Trivia's were great! Music, Harry Potter, etc the staff made it fun. I always love the Military Appreciation on the last day and this one didn't disappoint. However, I maybe would've liked to have seen it on Friday instead of Sunday. The comedy shows and stage shows were fantastic as always too!!!

Service and Staff

Suri at the Rotterdam Bar is a mixologist and loves what he does. He was incredibly friendly and personable. Casino Bar: One of the bartenders made sure that I knew that he had 3 days until he got a break and his drinks confirmed that he was definitely burnt out! To say that he was a jerk would've been an understatement. Dining Staff and Other Bartenders: they knew you by name anywhere on the ship, even if it was in the hall. Absolutely fantastic!!! Room Steward: Kind of disappointing! He was friendly, but his service was hot/cold. He'd come make beds and remove dirty towels. But I'd have to go ask him for replacement towels. And we had 2 days of a 4 day cruise with towel animals. I literally thought that maybe that fun part had been removed from the service until I walked in and a cute friend was waiting for us.

Ship Quality

The staff that takes care of that ship should be given so many accolades. They work so hard to keep the ship and it's passengers well cared for. If anyone on board stopped for 2 seconds and watched these folks work than you know what I'm talking about. I just can't say enough about the hats they all wear and the work they do! Bravo!!!

It worked and the water pressure was life giving.

Ship tip
