This was our first Carnival cruise and we were impressed with the service and food. It was a great value for the money. It is obvious Carnival cares that you had a good time and they'd like to keep your business! We did have reservations about going on Carnival but wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

Room was clean but smaller than we expected. Had our grandson sleeping in the pull down bed with the other 2 beds pushed together. With the pull down bed down, it covered part of the foot of our bed so if the person sleeping closest to the window had to get up during the night they had to crawl over the other person. Also kind of inconvenient there was no place to sit in the room except for the bed. We realize this is the design of the ship and this is the way it is. Also for some reasons, the cold selection of the bathroom faucet in the sink would be somewhat cold in the mornings but by afternoon, the water was warm.
Went pretty well, Going down escalators with our luggage in tow could have been hard for some older folks who don't get around that good, but we made it ok.
Glad you enjoyed it. We have always enjoyed the Carnival ships we gave been on as well. As far as room size, the rooms on Carnival ships, including this one, are actually slightly larger than other cruise lines for the same category. A standard room on most Carnival Ships is 185 sq ft vs 145 - 165 on many lines with some as small as 125 sq ft. I would never recommend 3 or more to a room unless they are children under 10 or you were in a suite, although many do it with no issues.
Carnaval is an alright cruise line, sometimes we just have have the experience for ourselves ,reviews are nice but first hand experience is best,as we found out.
