Pretty disappointing. Especially after splurging & getting a suite for our anniversary.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I think this was the smoothest we've ever got on a cruise
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Not a lot of choices & food was okay at best. Think we're going to start looking into other cruise-lines (other than Carnival) as they seem to be going downhill as far as food is concerned.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
There were activities but just not anything we were interested in. Seems like if you didn't want to be out in the hot sun, by the only pool or at a bar, there wasn't a lot for you to do.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
No comedy or shows on nights we had been in port which was a huge disappointment. Also, one of the comedians we had, we had seen on a cruise we took 15 months ago & she didn't have much new material.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
We did like the build a bear activity!
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
This is another area that Carnival seems to be going downhill on.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
This is a very small ship. There were only 2 elevators on the whole boat that went up to our room & one was out half the time. The elevators always had smudges over buttons.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We really liked our room, the size of the room, the size of the TV, the super soft mattress that was easily the softest we'd ever slept on on a cruise ship. We had some issues with cleanliness - when we first got on boat & into our room, a couple of the shelves in the bathroom were very dirty & even had hair on one. Then one of the sea days, we had left several days to go to breakfast in dining room, to lay out at the Serenity area & had even told the room steward when we would be gone but we kept coming back to room with it not freshened up. It was mid afternoon before our room got done that day.
Was so excited to get a new port from Florida as a FL resident, we've been to all the ports many times but not a very pretty country or a lot to do in port with one exception - if you are a classic car enthusiast, you have to go here as old, classic cars are EVERYWHERE!
