Review summary

I can't believe how bad the smell was on and in are room. It was like a Poralet on the job site that hasn't been cleaned in weeks !!!! Not sure if something was broken . But it was a BAD ... I Know One Thing we will never go on that ship again. It's sad Because we have been on it 4 years ago and we loved it. .. I'm just glad this was not are First cruise!!

They em also closed the main pool for over 24 hours👎None of us were happy about that!!!!

We just got off of the Paradise this morning. Our group was 19 people. Though I had no major problems in my room my two siblings had a major leak in their rooms. All of their clothing and souvenirs were soaked through. Carnival did wash and return their items but it was still inconvenient. There was also a sewage smell that was pretty strong in some areas. As we were getting ready to leave this morning another room had been hit with a major leak overnight. Our group had a good time because we chose to overlook the bad things however considering the cost of cruising I would suggest others book on a ship in better condition.

It's an old ship and in need of a dry dock (feb/mar 2018) which can't come soon enough. But when you find yourself in those situations... you do have to make the best of it. I for one very much appreciate reviews good, bad or indifferent ðâº

Oh no! This is our first cruise, we leave in July. Where was your room? Ours is on the Empress deck same deck. How was the rest of the cruise? Food? Staff?

From everything I've read...when somebody flushes something they shouldn't have... it's gonna get stopped up and it's a stinky mess to clear it. It seems this work often has to be done on the lower decks and we all know there's just not a lot of air circulation in the cabin areas

Yes , nothing can ever be a problem, Mike. Would be hard to have fun when things smell like sewage. Sometimes when multiple posts by multiple individuals say the same thing I would tend to think it might be true.

We just cruised on the Paradise and had no such problems at all! Maybe someone in your room had bad gas! Lol Maje your own fun on your cruise and don't listen to crappy reviews!

I see a pattern. A large number of complaints about foul odor on older Carnival ships. With this many posts about it you have to believe that there is some truth to them. Cruizers17, I would not write off this post that easily.

This will be our 5th cruise & I like the smaller ships on Carnival. We've never had a bad experience. I smelled the "sewage" smell a little bit on the Ecstasy in June in the hallways on some of the decks--but it didn't keep us from having a blast.
