Review summary

The people are nice, and the food was good. However, they had no flexibility when there were unexpected events. Before the cruise started, they changed a port from Grand Cayman to Costa Maya. Did they consider that we chose the cruise precisely because we wanted to visit two different places? In any case, they offered a $25 credit to offset this unpleasant situation. However, the second destination day, the weather was too bad to dock the ship. We had to stay on the boat. So, on a 5 night cruise, we got off the boat once. That is not what we paid for, and, to be honest, the boat is not nice enough to support 4 days of "entertainment."

The Captains #1 priority is your safety,  your happiness is not.   If weather is bad a ship will not go,  if sea;s are rough tenders will not go and port will be canceled.

The Flexibility is you got your 5 days on a cruise ship,  nobody got hurt trying to tender in unsafe conditions, nobody got sea sick cruising into bad weather.

The $ 25.00 is likely port fees for the missed port. It is a disappointment to miss a port,  but I'm sure your review would be worse if you sailed into a storm, got sea sick and then got injured on tender.

Are you kidding me?? Your cruise contract when you book clearly states "Itinerary Subject to Change". I guess it's Carnivals fault that the weather was bad too?! Read your contract.

Unfortunately, when you pay for a cruise you aknowledged the line can change the itenerary anytime for any reason. It stinks of course. If your happiness depends on the destination do not pick a cruise. Have you heard of those Secret Cruises in Europe? They have no idea where they are going and love it!

"No flexibility for unexpected events". I hate it when cruise lines just change ports for no reason. I think you need a bigger boat. To be honest, the boat isn't big enough to support 4 days of "entitlement". Did you consider the cruise line can't control the weather?
