Review summary

The shows and the Lido deck food. The customer service was good except the last day at Guest Services. Customer Services Representative Jeremy was very rude when I asked about more representatives should be working because of a long line. He was so rude that the man at the counter checking out, told Jeremy that he was not behaving like a customer service rep should. He had to say it twice. Jeremy did not apologize and the supervisor, Wayne came out and apologized. In other words, nothing was done about his rudeness towards me.

We always settle our account everyday, so there are no surprises at the end. We then do it for a final time the evening before we disembark to avoid the long lines the last day. And people who remove their gratuities suck, because a whole lot of hard work goes into ensuring they have an amazing,stress free, fun week! We also tip with cash our bartenders every evening, our servers the final dinner service, and our Porter the morning we disembark. Trust me, they earn it!

I don't mind paying gratuity, but I think it would be better if carnival just incorporated the gratuity into the price of the cruise.

There is a lot of other reasons to go to customer service on the last day, settling your cash account not just to take off gratuities

Omg. Did not know this. People really stoop low. As someone that worked in the service industry all through college I know how hard these people work and most deserve every penny earned!

No its not mandatory. It will be automatically added to your account, unless you prepay, like we do. But you can go to customer service and have them removed on the last day. People that do that should be shot on sight or pushed overboard. Some will argue... "but I pay cash", which is BS. The gratuities get divided between all the behind the scenes people you don't see too.
