Review summary

I have never been on such a terrible cruise! The service was horrible. There was an engine fire on the first night that prohibited the engine from running at full capacity. Therefore. They had to switch our ports. They arrived late to cozomel our excursion was cancelled and we were rushed on the excursion we decided to substitute. We were also 4 hours late docking at Grand cayman and yet again our excursion got cancelled last-minute. We had to wait to get pff the boat while people who did not purchase excursions jad to wait and yet again we were rushed through our excursions we chose to do instead. When I called carnival when we got home they said it wasn't their problem! Terrible customer service. I never again will cruise carnival

Shame to hear you had a bad experience! I'm going on my third trip with Paradise this Saturday, and all of my experiences have been wonderful. All lines have fluke encounters from time to time. I would contact Carnival directly to see if they can do something to fix your bad experience. They are usually very easy to work with and want satisfied travelers. (:

I was one this ship a week ago and loved every minute of it. We had excellent service. Rooms were always clean and the food was great!! Getting on and off was a breeze. It was my 6 cruise and one of the best.

My daughter and I were on that same cruise. They had to switch our ports so they could work on the engine while docked. And we were late leaving Cozumel because 7 idiots didn't get back on the ship on time and they were left behind in Cozumel. So with that being said that's why we were late arriving into Grand Cayman. The ship needs to get clearance before anyone can get off the ship.

Uh ...dougiefresh813, I going out on a limb here, but I think the answer to your question is the Paradise, especially since this is the Chat Room for that particular ship ? Maybe it's like the Cruise ... And you got rerouted !!

Had engine problems a few years ago on the Liberty. Got compensated for missed ports of calls and excursions. Was very satisfied with Carnival.

Port calls are not guaranteed it is in their contract but this is why you should ALWAYS use an agent to book ! We have the power to fix things get refunds credits ect

I can see how an engine fire could impact your cruise. Glad everyone was safe. Surprised after a fire that Carnival wouldn't do anything, that's not good.
