Review summary
We have taken many Carnival cruises and this was by far one of the most disappointing. We paid for the grand suite and what Was promised a garden tub amongst other things which none was provided. We ended up in a handicap room that had a door that would open with the push of a button. Having two small children this kept me up all night for fear they would push the button, walk out, when the door automatically closes to be stuck in the hallway. We asked if they could disable the door but no one ever informed us whether or not it could be done. We paid almost $4000 for this cruise and I am very disappointed in the service the food the room and all the promises that were made that were not fulfilled. We ordered strawberries in the room that were completely soggy and was told there was nothing they could do very disappointed in this cruise waiting to hear back from the cruise line will keep you posted. Before the cruise left we went to customer service requesting to get off the cruise and they said there was nothing that they can do for us if we left the cruise because you were dissatisfied. According to carnivals guarantee if the customer is not happy they will happily refund their money this was not an option for us.

Showing up aboard on a cruise and claiming that you did not receive the room that you booked is a lousy excuse. Before any cruise you are sent a booking confirmation advising you which cabin you had booked. If you took the time to review the material that you were sent prior to your cruise then maybe you would have avoided the disappointment completely.
You have no one to blame but yourself in this situation because if you had actually READ what carnival had send you, you would have realized the cabin that was booked and had time to contact Carnival before and change the cabin or inquire the category of cabin before you got on board.
Maybe next time take the time to review your confirmation before you go to save yourself the embarrassment of what happened last time.

You should get your TA involved to make sure you got the cabin that you had paid for. I always look at the deck plans as I pick a cabin to know what cabin I get, what is next to it, above it and below it. A ship cabin is like real estate Location, Location, Location. With you tube and the internet you may even find film if your exact cabin to view. A few min of homework can pay off big time.
