Review summary

We always do all inclusive Island resorts. My husband surprised me for my birthday and sent me on my first cruise.  It was very long days at sea, food was not great and if you wanted something different to eat or drink it was extra. I never seen my cabin staff, dinner staff was good but not enough to cover all the tables. When we got to Mexico we walked to down town, it was a nice 6 mile walk but then to get to any beach you might could swim in you needed to take a Taxi. We get to the beach and there is a fee to get on the beach. I guess I'm just spoiled to my all-inclusive resort. I will say I love the picture ideas and back drops they do but be prepared to spend money. I also like how they do dinner every night. In our case we sat with the same 6 people every night at dinner,  so that was nice to meet people. We had a great table of people.

The sea days are our favorite part of the cruise! Just love being surrounded by water and the beauty and relaxation of it. To each his or her own, though. Cruising isn't for everyone ( as unbelievable as that may be to us "addicts" lol)

Not to mention, all inclusive only offers cheap bottom-shelve alcohol... Anything better u still have to pay.

I think all inclusives only pay off if you're a big drinker. You also spend the whole time in one place.

Now that you have had your first cruise out of the way, maybe you will be able to have a better idea choosing the next one. Never let one cruising experience dampen your spirit.

The age old dilemma....all inclusive resort vs cruising....in the long run, a cruise costs more if you have to add flights to it, but a cruise is superior in so many ways...food, entertainment, a different place each day etc

Don't you pay for beach at all inclusive upfront and there should been a public beach if you would have asked for one probably not a safe beach
