Review summary

I enjoyed working with . However, I wish Carnival had more on board events available. Specifically, they should add more events such as speed dating or mixers for heterosexual people. They had them for LGBT people (which is great), but not for hetero people. Also, the shows and entertainment on the ship were very sparse. It seemed they had 27 different Dr Seuss events for kids, but nothing much for adults. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was a good cabin. No complaints there. It was kept exceptionally clean by the steward staff, and was a good room overall.

Ship tip

Get the Faster to the Fun option. It is very worth it.

Mixers for "Hetro" people......... did you have trouble identifying them on the ship ?  I thought the 3 and 4 night party cruises were nothing but mixers to meet people.

Every cruise I have been on has Singles mixers posted in the daily paper.   As mentioned you can also look at the board for passengers posting for mixers (typically near guest relations desk).   You can also try and get one started by posting on the board a time and place for a mixer.

When on a ship I talk to anybody,  people are so much more approachable on a ship then back home when working and stresses of life.  I have made friends on ships that we keep in touch for years now.

On any cruise I've taken, there has always been single cruiser meetings on the daily planner, in addition to various affinity groups (e.g., bridge players, Friends of Bill, LGBTQ). Another option has always been the announcement board where fellow cruisers post their own announcements. We often meet other people at the contest events (e.g., darts, trivia). A person's sexual orientation has no bearing on whether or not we socialize. We simply like people for who they are.

One of the reasons that I take cruise is for the entertainment.  It bothers me when there is not a professional show performed nightly.  MSC is one of the few cruiselines that hasa professional show every single night.  I hope that your next cruise is a better fit for you.  I suggest one of the bigger ships where there is always a lot going on.

Try the Sunshine or the Breeze. They are the newer ships and do offer a lot more on board activities. Also try the Eastern Caribbean ports. happy Cruising
