Good cruise for the price

Sail Date: December 13, 2014

Room Type: Oceanview

Our first Carnival cruise.  The boat is dated…but there is nothing wrong with it.  It's a smaller ship and our cabin was small but comfy.  Food was ok…a bit disappointing….same stuff on the buffet all week long for breakfast and lunch.  Dinner most nights was good.  Did NOT care for the folks coming through the dining room every night PUSHING the shots at each table - kind of "low buck" .  Did the "at sea breakfast" in the dining room and it was good!!!  Had fun and loved Cozumel and Grand Cayman - though we just did the private beach at both (Paradise Beach and Tiki Beach). Our cabin guy "william" and our dining room waiter "Marco" were wonderful…as was most of the staff.

Had fun but probably wouldn't do this one again.  We prefer Royal Caribbean over Carnival.

Ship Quality
dated and small but nothing wrong with it.
Food and Dining
disappointed with the food overall
Cabin / Stateroom
small but comfy!! LOVED the shower size and water pressure and always had HOT water!!!!!
Service and Staff
MARCO in the dining room and William - our cabin server - were wonderful!!!
nothing to write home about. Comedian wasn't that funny. Piano bar was okay.
Children's Programs n/a
Onboard Activities
not nearly as much to do on this ship as there was on our Royal Caribbean cruise.
Destinations and Excursions
LOVED cozumel and Grand Cayman - we just did the beaches/pools.
Tampa, Florida
easy to get in and out, no issues with drop off or pick up - great place to cruise from except the larger boats cannot go out of this port due to the Skyway bridge
Cozumel, Mexico
beautiful - loved paradise beach and their pool. very clean!!!!
George Town, Grand Cayman
good. did Tiki beach $30 per person to get in - spent the day on the beach and in the water.

do the sea-day dining room brunch….very good
