Review summary

This was my third time on this ship and there were some noticeable changes. THE GOOD: improved healthy menu choices in the dining room. THE BAD: cabin wasn't clean and steward was unavailable.

Better menu options in the dining room and great international choices at the buffet. Salad bar was well stocked and coffee never ran out.

Entertainment

Good entertainment for the crowd. Game shows were fun, casino staff was attentive, lounge singer was outstanding.

Service and Staff

Not as engaged and friendly as I remember. I suspect corporate changes that have impacted the staff. They seemed tired and disengaged.

Ship Quality

The ship shows its age and needs a good cleaning. The layout is easy to navigate around. Cabin was not clean and public toilets were filthy.

Cabin / Stateroom

Had to buy bleach wipes in Catalina to wipe down the filthy room. Carpet lint upon arrival was still there by the third day. Found a roach in the room on the fourth day which resulted in a good cleaning and an option to change cabins.

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

Downtown is an easy walk from the ship as well as navigating around the port. A beautiful cultural center is under construction and walking distance from port. Starbucks is clean with free wi-fi.

Catalina Island, California

A great way to spend the day in Catalina. We had no wait de/embarking and walked around the Island for a few hours. Descanso Beach is a great place to relax and sun. The library has free wi-fi.
