Review summary
We went on the 4-day baja cruise and had a great time. We were a small group of guys (22-24 yrs old) and we had a blast! Probably because we were drunk 80% of the time. There were tons of places to grab a drink onboard (that's never a problem since they make their money on booze). Make sure you go with a large enough group (3+ people) since it appeared that even a lot of couples got bored after 2 days on the ship. There is a great waterslide, good selection of domestic/imported beers at all the bars, and some solid music entertainment. Club Rex (the only place to really dance) was okay. The DJ was good but the people there did not blend too well. Picture old ladies dancing with young guys and staff members who have the day off. The dinner service was incredible. Oftentimes if you are hungry your waiters will hook you up with more food. We got three entrees one night. (Lobster, Prime Rib, Pasta). Just look out for the extra charges. As much fun as the casino is, don't get carried away. (My bill was the same as the cost of the cruise itself) Everything adds up. For a frugal college student on spring break, this was the best way to get to mexico. Although we ended up having much more fun at catalina island. More bars, and you can rent bikes, go horseback riding, kayaking, or snorkeling. A great deal overall- just go in a group, and perhaps figure out a way to not pay for the ship's drinks.Ship experiences
