As a first-time cruiser, I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but every aspect of the cruise was very enjoyable, except for the fact that we had to eat dinner at 8:30 at night. BUT, it is worth mentioning that it's of course first-come, first-served basis for choosing dinner times, and we only booked the cruise about a month in advance--I just wish the late seating times weren't THAT late. You miss a decent amount of events/entertainment that go on when you eat that late.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Again, eating dinner at 8:30 at night was a pain, but the Paradise still deserves a 6/6 for all the other areas (quality of food, restaurant variety, ambiance, specialty options).
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Excellent selection and quality of events, but there are so many it's hard to find room to relax in your room if you need to, and we missed some good events because of our late dinner time.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Some staff members always remembered my name, everyone said "Hi", "Good morning,", etc. and our waiters in the dining room were VERY entertaining!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
A couple of the public bathrooms could've used some better cleaning, but there are 2,200 people that could be using them at any time. Luckily being male, I don't have to touch nearly anything when using public bathrooms.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
A bit dusty, but the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean. How much time do you really spend in your stateroom on a cruise anyway?!
Nice area, but not much to do if you don't book a shore excursion. We didn't book one because nothing really appealed to us, and went back to the ship within a couple of hours.
Booked an excursion here, but it actually took place close to Tijuana (in Rosarito). A ton of fun, but again, not much else to do without a tour or excursion.
