Review summary

First of all getting there was awful. The terminal was two hour wait were extremely wait. There was a mask confusion once we get there we get inside is totally like 90° in there once we get there of course the room was clean and the food was good, but the see people walking around women, especially in bikinis in the break room and thongs and smoking cigarettes and marijuana everywhere I will not ever go to Long Beach again for a cruise And ended up husband. I ended up sick. We’re both here home with Covid. Totally for the wider audience it was just a very bad experience. I’ve been on carnival before, but it was never like this before. We have been out of San Francisco totally different of course theirs Is still a smoking issue and cussing and swearing people just acted foolish on the cruise. It wasn’t enjoyable.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The staff was great. Food was reasonably good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed silent, disco 80s night karaoke and the band that was playing that was the best part of the cruise itself

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The DJ was wonderful. I never did get to meet the Cruise Director he was hit and miss didn’t even really know who he was.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My cabin attendant was excellent very personable. He had a room clean as the staff in the kitchen and the dining room. They were wonderful.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My cabin attendant was wonderful. He was very wonderful, personable and caring individual.

Ship tip

The ship itself had too many people walked around with bikinis on in the dining room, a lot of sneezing and coughing and kids playing in the food. It was just a lot going on. My husband ended up getting sick. We’re now with Covid.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

1 out of 5
The worst terminal in the United States is Long Beach. I would never go to that terminal again confusion mask confusion to our waiting . It was awful.

Disembarkation

Again, awful master destruction if anything was emergency to happen, we would all have been casualty, mask confusion

Well, we was on the Panorama last week and over all it was a good cruise. The port was a mess. Going into the port they only had 1 gate open. It took about 2 hours to get inside the port. When we disembarked, they sent my lift to the Queen Mary because of the line to get into the port was so long. I've never seen this at Maimi, Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral. Either they need more help or build a larger entrance gate... Sorry you had such a bad time.. Hope you guys get better soon.

I have never had any issue with Long Beach port. The pot smoking issue is a problem. Thanks for sharing

I have cruised out of Long Beach several times. Embarkation is always easy. I have only experienced long waits when I arrived too early. Those waits were less than 30 minutes though. The whole process was always smooth. There is construction going on in the area. This may have been what you experienced, it really hard to tell because your review is very confusing. My biggest tip would to make sure you arrive at your assigned time not early. Happy cruising.
