Review summary

Fun way to try a new ship. Things were a bit hectic on the first day and there were some definite areas where they need to work out some kinks. But, the ship is nice and should be a great option for folks on the 7 day Mexico cruises.

Easy and friendly and got on the ship earlier than we expected.

Main dining room was pretty meh. JiJi's was fun and delicious. Guy's Smokehouse was very tasty, but service was hectic.

Greg is fun and the atmosphere is awesome. Needs more A/C, but highly recommended.

Excellent and fun asian dining experience.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse| Brewhouse

They need a sign to tell people to seat themselves, and they need some more staff, but the food is great.

Cloud 9 Spa

We wouldn't pay for the spa pass, but since it came included with our Spa Cabin, we enjoyed the amenity.

Both shows were fantastic, piano bar was fun, other musicians were good as well. DJ was just so so.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which is to be expected on a first sailing for the ship, but they were all friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Clean, fresh design. Layout seems to require lots of walking from forward to aft, but not sure if there is a better way to do things.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small but well designed inside cabin. Plenty of storage. Bathroom is a standard Carnival bathroom.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Took the lobster/shopping tour to Rosarita and ate in Puerto Nuevo. Awesome tour! Try the snake tequila.
