Review summary
Well we will make this our last Carnival cruise. It started when they broke a wheel off of our new hard case luggage. They did provide a new soft side bag (thank you Adean). The next problem was when we were returning to our cabin there was a worker in the hallway across from our cabin with the cover off the utility closet and a sewage smell. We quickly went in and changed clothes and left. Later when we returned the closet was closed and the smell gone. That was the good news. The carpet in our cabin was wet in numerous places. I had trouble communicating with the person who answered the phone for cabin stewards, not our usual person answered. Since I wasn't sure if they understood I called guest services. They had to have a carpet cleaner extract the water from the carpet. Then we had a large floor fan that was very loud in our cabin. My wife hit her foot and ankle on it multiple times. We finally got it removed and would not let them bring it back. Our next problem was with the door lock. I get up early and let my wife sleep. When I came back the card would be open the lock. I went back out to retun in a half hour just incase she had looked it from the inside. The steward was right there and tried her card as well. She said there was a problem and would call the supervisor. I said I will give my Wife another 45 minutes then we can try again. I came back an the lock still did not work but my Wife happened to hear me trying to get in so she opened the door. I went inside and we got ready to go out and we could not open the door. I called the Steward and again it was not sure if they understood. I called guest services again and they were outside when they came to open the door. This happens two more times !!!!! They asked after all this when there were only 4 days left if we wanted to change cabins! I had asked when this all started to change. They finally gave us 4 drink tickets and a select from the menu as the steak house was booked up. I got surf & turf, sure glad I didn't pay as the lobster was so tough I couldn't get it out of the shell and the filet mignon was a half inch thick. Not good.Embarkation
