Cabin / Stateroom

Wish we requested a handicap cabin or an ambulatory accessible cabin because my mom uses a walker and it was hard to get it into the cabin each time we returned to our cabin. Also the shower didn’t have railings or bars to hold on to and when the ship is rocking it’s dangerous. My mom could have fallen.
Ship tip
Amazing ship. Layout is great. You won’t get lost on this ship.
Ended up being great but, our excursion was canceled here. Supposed to do the river cruise excursion and there was a flash flood in the river so, th boat couldn’t go through the river. So, that was upsetting because we were really looking forward to that cruise but, we took the free shuttle and went shopping and it was a lot of fun.
We didn’t get off the ship in Kona because it was a tender port and my mom uses a walker so, it would have been hard. Plus it was taking forever for people to be able to get off the ship. So, it wasn’t worth it. We had a relaxing day on the ship. There were a lot of people that stayed on the ship in Kona. People that did get off the ship said it wasn’t worth it.
We did the colorful hilo excursion. It was great! Went to rainbow falls, a macadamia factory, a candy store and several other things. It was a great excursion
Sad to leave but, it was great! One bad thing. They need more porters to help with luggage. My mom uses a walker and I had to handle four suitcases. Two big suitcases and two smaller carry ons on wheels. Had to push/pull all of them through a very long line until we got on the bus transportation to the airport. I would have given the porter a bigger tip if they would have helped me with the luggage to the bus. After awhile I saw the porters taking peoples luggage to the bus and they had two or three people that would have been able to wheel there own luggage. I was one person with four suitcases because my mom had a walker so, she wasn’t able to handle her suitcases. So, that was terrible
