Review summary

It was a good cruise for us. We achieved what we wanted and that is to have a nice, relaxing time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were worried that we might have to do offsite parking but when we got to the port at around 1:20 pm, they were letting the latecomers park at the parking garage across the port. Check in was super easy and we were in our cabin at 1:50.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We were on this ship back in August2022 with a group of 9. This time around, it was just me and the hubby. We had way more fun in the MDR back then with the same group of servers every night. (I.Wayan) With anytime dining, I feel that the waiters doesn’t give too much attention or care and thoughts for the passengers, maybe because they know they will not get them the next day. We had to wait longer for everything(take our orders, the food, etc) mind you, it wasn’t even a busy night. We were seated always by the rail looking down on the dining room below us, but the servers were just walking by us and hardly looking or checking if we need anything. We have to stop somebody walking by to request something.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn’t get off the the ship on the 2nd day at Cabo but we spent all day at one of the pods at Serenity Deck and it was the best. This was my 11th cruise but the first time we had done that and I love it! We had peace, calm, relaxation all day looking out the water and the arch. I would do it again on my future cruises. I’ll use a port day to do just that. We did not really do any activities except the vow renewals on the embarkation day. This cruise was really meant for us to just relax and chill. And we did.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
When we went last August, we loved the Take Two duo, and was quite disappointed that they were no longer onboard this sailing. BUT, we discovered the Alterr Jam and they filled up the void and more. My husband and I loved the band and were impressed on how they interact with the passengers. They took requests and performed almost all of them. They have a very wide repertoire and they were very entertaining. They have a very good interactions with passengers and very accommodating. I think, they are the best band we have seen in any of the cruises we had.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The casino bar staff is very good. The buffet staff is hit and miss. Most are nice especially the crew cleaning up the tables. They were respectful and friendly. I just didn’t like one group at the Asian buffet station. They were checking out one of the passengers in line and were talking about her. They didn’t know I could understand them. They were not as respectful as the other crews on the other stations too. Our room steward was nice and helpful. I’ve already talked about the MDR staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I didn’t like the layout when I first sailed the Miracle in January of 2020. When we were on her to Alaska for 10 days, I started warming out to the layout. This time around, I felt so at home and comfortable, I know where everything is. I loved that it is a smaller ship. I liked the vibe too.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were on cabin 4196. It’s an interior with French doors and obstructed view. I loved it, because it’s an interior rate but you can look out and see the water and I loved all the sunshine coming in.

Ship tip

Gatsby’s Garden is a good place to hang out and chill. It was nice and quiet. If you can get a pod at serenity deck, it will be great to spend the day there.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

3 out of 5
The traffic on the way to the port was ridiculous. We were stuck because a couple of trucks decided to use the lane that goes straight to the port and they can’t get to their correct lane. Some of the truck drivers wouldn’t let them through. So we’re sitting in our car waiting for those two trucks to get into their lane so we could go down the road to the port. We could see the dome from our car but we were at a standstill because two trucks were blocking our lane.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
We have been here so many times before and the vendors are as aggressive as before. And the prices of everything was ridiculous. But Cabo San Lucas is a nice port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was easy peasy.
