Review summary

This cruise was timed perfectly to see wild life; we saw flying fish, as well dolphins & whales that were in migration. When we went horseback riding on the beach in Cabo we also saw baby sea turtles at Rancho Carisuva they are eco-tourist place. We also saw whales off in the sea while horseback riding....kind of magical really. This cruise was fun because of the staff making it special, the ship not super great but if you can get over that aspect it's really a wonderful vacation.

Embarkation

Super easy and fast... the timed entry really works if people follow it

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Carnival has become a little stingy when it comes to food. Their selection is lacking

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The activities are becoming a little tired and old. It's time for a revamp - but still fun, just old

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were fun and great time to watch. Right before Christmas is really fun on board a ship.

Children's Programs

My nephew loved camp he's 14

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is always amazing. Jeeve from the pizza parlor was so nice, he remembered my name and my pizza order. When I would get in line he would be like the same and make it. Also our dinning staff Kenneth, Ronileo and Balthazar they were fantastic and helpful - best service (SERIOUSLY) ever.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This ship is old, but still good. Smaller but really manageable for newer cruisers or families who don't want to walk around a lot to get around. I found it a little boring

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Noise proofing on the ship isn't great but Good it wasn't on floor 8 under all the food & pools. When people move their chairs on the balconies it's soooo loud

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Pretty fast & efficient for ports

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
It's ok, always a cluster when it's a tender port. Although Carnival was really on top of it for this cruise and we got off ship very fast. The thing with tender ports is don't go to the handicap loading if you don't have to... it takes longer to load because Carnival doesn't care how long it takes only if it's done safely (older/younger unstable people they take longer to board) so it take a long time before you get to leave because they wait to fill the boat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Got off the ship and through customs in 20 minutes from when we got inline to get off ship.
