Review summary

The cruise itself was sufficient. The ship was well maintained and the employees were top notch from around the world. Their kindness made the trip worthwhile. The vacationers on board however were total animals. No manners nor decorum in their choice of language and or behavior. Dress was not tasteful in most settings; just because you are on a cruise does not change the fact you are in a restaurant. No one wants to see a butt cheek hanging our or crusty toe nails.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was good enough, the lines were expected and the security was decent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was overall impressive for a ship. However, in the regular dining room the portions tend to run on the small end for the appetizers.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did not do many activities on the ship. The pool was always full of people and people were running around like animals. Laying out on the deck chair was nice though.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The array of music choices were sufficient, we enjoyed the violin players.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the workers were energetic and very nice.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was maintained very well despite the amount of work they had to contest with every day.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The overall comfort was good. The only problem was the first day with the balcony door. When the ship left port, the wind had hit in at a certain angle that caused it to whistle for 2-3 hours until the ship make a direction adjustment. The seal must be slightly loose around the door.

Ship tip

Get ready to deal with animals. Bay area folks must have lose their manners during the pandemic. Also, where a mask when possible.

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
This port was a decent stop. However, United changed my excursion time that did not correlate with the time that the excursion actually left. We missed the planned excursion due to this miscommunication. Luckily I got excursion insurance and I have put in my claim for a refund. Chavos Motorsports Rental did their best to accommodate us, but over all it was cheap and definitely not work the $278 that the original excursion was for two people.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Smooth exit.
