Review summary

A great first cruise experience overall. Starting from the lunch onboard on embarkation day, to the great food, fantastic atmosphere, and everything else in between, it was great overall. Would highly recommend this cruise to others. Also, would love to see more cruises from San Francisco as it is so convenient for us in the Bay Area.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was a good embarkation experience, but I was initially denied boarding. The port authorities were good though, and were able to get me onboard relatively quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship was wonderful, with the chefs and the waiters going the extra mile and getting me the food that I wanted. Greeting us by name was a fantastic touch, which I really appreciate.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the fitness center, and the sunning opportunities. The pool was really crowded however, and couldn’t be used.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ships shows were good. We really enjoyed the musical programs. However, the cruise director could avoid the section about not so smart questions.

Children's Programs

Our kids are all adults.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was the best part about the entire cruise. The dining room staff, Daryl especially, went way above and beyond to take care of us, and provide us with good food. They even catered to my wife’s no garlic diet. The option of an Indian vegetarian main course was a nice touch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean overall, and we were able to navigate to the areas easily. The similarity of the decks was a nice touch.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was clean overall. The only problem was that it didn’t heat up enough initially, which was corrected.

Ship tip

Enjoy your time at the Miracle, it’s a nice ship with really friendly crew! However, try to stay in the middle of the ship as the sway could be disorientating after your voyage.

Ports of call

San Francisco, California Did not visit port

Native of SF, have visited this in the past.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
We didn’t book an excursion, and took a different route to a horse ride. Only got 30 minutes for an hour long ride.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation process was extremely smooth, with the port authorities quickly scanning thousands of passengers.
