Review summary

Enjoyed our 3 day Mexico cruise on the Carnival Miracle to Ensenada. Everything from embarkation to meals in the steakhouse, buffet, and dining room was fantastic. The selection of menu options and food was excellent. Highly recommend the shows and activities on the ship. Cabin bed was comfortable and very clean.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Enjoyed Nick & Nora's steakhouse. The amuse bouche from the chef was a big surprise and very tasty. My wife and I ordered surf and turf and I highly recommend it. The lobster was a bit small but very good and the steak was excellent. Dining room service and food was very good with a wide selection on the menu. We ate at the buffet and thought the food selection was good and enjoyed the available space (50% of total capacity on the cruise).

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the spa fitness center. Plenty of available equipment. Entertainment staff was great. We played trivia, deal or no deal, and bingo and had a great time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Dancers and singers were great. Highly recommend Carnival's show productions.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was friendly, attentive, and patient with requests.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Smaller, older ship that was very clean and easy to navigate. Unique common areas and interior design on the ship. Loved the Phantom of the Opera showroom, book characters in cabin hallways, and Gatsby's Garden.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable cabin. We enjoyed the extended balcony.

Ship tip

Print your embarkation documents such as Covid test results, proof of vaccination, and boarding pass. Keep your passport and printed documents in hand and don't put them in checked luggage (I know, two pieces of advice).

Ports of call

Easy and quick disembarkation. US Customs and Border Protection employees were friendly. The facial recognition process made the disembarkation process quick and easy.
