Overall is an old ship, still in okay shape. Can’t wait to see after the remodeling.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was very smooth. We stayed at Embassy Suites night before, great hotel by the way. We took uber from hotel to The Fish Marjet, which is just down the street from Embassy, across from Fish Market restaurant and what a fantastic food they have OMG everything fresh and delicious. After dinner we walked outside the USS Midway Museum, watch the boats goes by, took selfies, it was absolutely great. Weather was cloudy and COLD, but we still had fun😀
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Lido Deck Buffet was “okay”, nothing fantastic. Always option of grill, asian, salads, DELICIOUS Deserts, pizza and italian.
Please take advantage of the Restaurant, great menu option and delicious food. Servers were not all pleasant and fast... poor people they work hard there carrying those huge full, havy trays around. I appreciate what they do and hope they get paid enough for that😀
Room Service is limited menu, but an option if you don’t want get out of the room.
Bars: Alchemy Bar is THE BEST BAR and BEST bartenders... kuddos to Elena, thank you fir a terrific service and drinks🥃🍹😀
Red Frog is lots of fun too.

Ship Quality

Is an old ship, layout and design is nothing spectacular.
Staff does keep everything nice and clean at all time.
I wasn’t too happy with our cabin bathroom toilet to b always yellow inside. I complaint, but I guess the stain does not come off anymore. It look terrible, dirty, disgusting.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our balcony Cabin was good, not great. Sofa is old and kind of falling apart, the lamps beside the bad also falling apart, bathroom size is good but there was a terrible yellow stain in the toilet, which we were not too happy with. After we complaint, stain was still there, i guess due to age of the ship does not come off anymore... who knows🤣
Ship tip
1- Take advantage of the gym, sauna(spa) and the restaurant. 2- Alchemy Bar is THE BEST BAR and BEST bartenders... they sure take good care of you at this bar... kuddos to Elena, thank you fir a terrific service and drinks🥃🍹😀
This was my favorite Island, where We had our wonderful lual at Germaine’s Lual. It was absolutely amazing, we had a BLAST from the time we pivked up the bus to back to ship. Starting with our bus guide Uncle Kaipo, he is super funny. The lual it self was absolutely fantastic, the food OMG LOTS of it and to dye for it(go HUNGRY), the drinks were okay, small but good. All staff very friendly and professinal. We loved everything😀
PS: we first booked our lual 4 months in advance somewhere else, with Te Au Moana Luau - on December 14th, they called us to let us know the luau was cancelled due to a campany Christmas party... DO NOT BOOK this luau.
Kona was nice, you have to take the tender boat off ship. We did the glassbottom boat tour and I definetely do not recommend this. You seat around a square table with 4 ppl, the glass is down in the center of table, so u have to look down, over the table at all time hopping u can see sea life. We did not saw nothing just tiny colourful fishes, terrible tour. I was sea sick and could not look down anymore.😀
After the tour, we walked at the pier and did a little shop at many stores they have it there and delicious had lunch at The Fish Hopper restaurant. There is a lot options to eat out there.
Not much to see in Hilo. We did the Hoppa inHoppa out 22.00 per peson. This is a great way to save money and tour the city. The bus is at the port and there is bus every 20mins on each stop. I am posting picture here with info of how it works snd where to stop.😀
In Maui we took uber(25.00 ea way) to Ookipa Beach aka Turtle Beach, is about 20mins from port. We saw way more turtles in Hilo at Black Sand Beach. We had a relaxing day at the beach.
There is a long walk when you get off ship to where you can take cab or uber, be ready to walk, about 10mins walking. There is lots if stores right across from port: ross, grocery stores, and a mall.
Disembrakation was okay, We had better on prior cruises. The elevator was a nightmare as everybody was trying to get out at same time. But, we made it and after the elevator it was mice and easy😀
