Review summary

I want to mention the outstanding service of several crew members: Arnold our room steward, Jenifer the dining hostess, Putu and Hasto and Jose from India in the dining room, and unfortunately I do not have the names of two others, but the first was the cool lady in the casino bar that can open soda cans with the bottom of another soda can and the gentleman that served drinks in the Phantom Theatre. After one or two orders, he knew our stateroom numbers and what sodas we preferred...hate that I never caught his name! Adam, the cruise director, was incredible and I loved that he didn't shy away from saying "Merry Christmas" instead of only Happy Holidays. These, as well as so many others on the crew, made it a very fun and enjoyable experience.

Would've liked to be seated near windows more, but otherwise it was good. Wait staff in dining room is excellent!

Pearl Harbor was on our own, then we did the Luau. Both were very enjoyable. Traffic of course was terrible, but otherwise a wonderful experience.

Something went very wrong with the timing of tendering off the ship. We were told to be in theatre at 8:30 am, did not disembark until 11:09 am. Also, they had rescheduled my second excursion that I had booked for this port to begin before the first one was finished! I had to go back twice to guest services before it was resolved...not sure why? They seemed to think there would be some question of why we'd want a refund, but in the end we were given a cash refund.

Hilo, Hawaii

So good. Our excursion guide was great, very knowledgable!! And being able to walk on the lava fields of the most recent eruptions was an incredible experience.

Ensenada, Mexico

We did an independent excursion that required a long walk to reach, but they did make special arrangements to deliver us back to the ship, so that was awesome. Ensenada was kinda run down and dirty, and seemed a little dangerous as we were there in the evening.

Handled much better than tendering.
