Review summary

Overall I enjoy my cruise, ship was just big enough, although small, compared to others. Ship is older but elevators were fast and smooth. Had a British theme to it,

Embarkation

Organized but tiresome with having to check in, wait for your group to be called, then they take your picture to link with the sign & sail card vs doing it at check in. Then the photographers are waiting of course at to catch you before getting onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
No Guys Burgers, however the hamburgers served were ok, just not as good as Guys. Some of the main dining room staff seem new and confused but polite nonetheless. I loved Alvaro at the Omelette station on lido deck.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room Steward, AL was awesome, room cleaned daily and ice bucket replenished every day (2x a day) without being asked. All other staff seem polite and friendly.

Ship Quality

I can’t fault staff for the sloppiness of guest. But staff was fast to clean when they were made aware problem. I literally watch grown folks toss food on the floor under their table. And I’m so sure they don’t do that at home.

Cabin / Stateroom

I hate interior rooms, but my husband prefers them and this was the compromise cruise. The Room felt slightly larger than, an interior on Royal Caribbean. Plenty of storage and all the other amenities, except no view.

Ship tip

The Carnival Hub app works great! The cruise director, Frankie was fun and the 80’s music trivia night was really fun.

Ports of call

Definitely do an excursion at this port. We went to the man made beach, it was nice, but not very big.

Disembarkation

The absolute smoothest disembarkation I’ve ever experienced with any cruise line. And I’m giving all credit to Port of Tampa Carnival Cruise Terminal staff.
