Embarkation

The change for getting on the ship made it more streamlined and alleviated the long lines to get into the terminal and on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and drinks were great. However, the long lines at the Pizza and the Deli need to be addressed. You had to wait around 20 minutes minimum. The other buffet areas were fine and there were lots of good choices. We would like to see the Wok bar, like the one on the Dream in the Asian buffet area. Not sure how many of the ships have Wok bars, but we feel that they should be on all of them. The food in the main dining room was great. We do not like to waste food so we do not understand why when you ask for one thing extra like a Lobster, they bring you the whole plated dish.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Need more dancing areas on the ship. Pools, serenity, decks, upper deck pods; need more of these pods. Only 10 on each side and 2,000 + people on board, not enough of them to go around. We realize that you cannot accommodate everyone with these but there was room for at least 10 + more on each side. It was very cold and windy and these allowed you to enjoy the deck a lot better.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Would like to see more shows like you used to have in the past in the main theater. Like magicians, Chinese acrobats, something different. We saw the same shows over and over. We went on the Miracle in 2015 out of California, again in 2018 out of Tampa and again last week out of Tampa, and the shows were the same. I would expect that the four months apart that the shows would be the same but the shows that we just saw were the same as the ones that we saw in 2015 out of LA, CA. We would like to change up the shows. The comedians were really funny on this cruise. Even the adult shows were not vulgar, the adult shows can be really funny without being vulgar. And this was refreshing.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The main dinning room had issues the first night of the cruise. The waiter waited until everyone arrived at the table before taking orders, even though the three couples were not related. This meant that the first couple there waited over 45 minutes before their order for anything was taken. We moved to another dining time and we do not know if their waiter was any better after that. Our waiters were good but seemed a little off their game. For instance, in the past they always placed the napkin in your lap, not this time. We had to ask for things, where in the past the waiters were reading the table and what was on it and knew what to bring you before you even asked, such as ice for a can of soda that you brought with you.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We liked the ship design and layout, but was very disappointed with the number of lights that were out. In the main dining room there were 178 lights that were out. There were a number of lights out in the main atrium as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cleanliness of our cabin was great, Dewa did a wonderful job and took care of all of our requests.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
No excursion, but we liked the port.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
No ship excursion, but we liked the port and took a local two hour city tour. Much cheaper than the one offered by the ship and saw more.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
We did not get off at this port because there was not enough time to get off and do anything on your own. 10:00 - 2:00, 4 hours in not enough time in a port, why bother.

George Town, Grand Cayman

2 out of 5
We did not get off at this port because the ship had to anchor on the other side of the island. Everyone had to taxi or bus to Georgetown on their own dime if they wanted to go off the ship. It was going to take about 20 minutes to tender to the island and about 30 minutes to taxi to the other side. We were really disappointed because we wanted to go into Georgetown.

Disembarkation
