Review summary

This was my groups 5th cruise together and my husband and my 7th criuise 3 with Carnival 2009 our first with Carnival 2013 and 2019... I was disappointed to see how cruising has become so ordinary and nothing extraordinary... you are not special or made to feel important!!! I liked that part of my earlier cruise and the care and the pampering is over .... it definitely was for this one...every service is an extra fee!!! We could not even get a decent breakfast brought to our room.... only fruit and cereal... I know that it is all about the bottom line showing a profit but hahaving enough personnel to properly care for the ship and the passengers should be top priority.... one this cruise it was not!!! I don’t think I will be sailing with Carnival again.... there are younger people you are obviously catering to and that’s ok.... but there are still some cruislines that have all ages included in the planning part of there cruises....

Embarkation

Very fast and efficient...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was good

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We played Bingo one day..the activities were designed for passengers under 50..

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The dancers were very good!! but the shows were basically the same each night

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service was exceptional from the stern to the bow....

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The adults area was grossly in need of sterilization... the shells with pads we’re filthy with all kinds of (God only knows what)..we never used that part of the ship at all... there were other areas that desperately needed deep cleaning and maintenance!! Carnival is definitely losing cruisers!!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had ONE!!! wall socket in our cabin!!! Had to ask for robes and our room was visited once a day!!! enough said.... our cabin had an obstructed view.... but it was more totally obstructed...was told the life boat would be even with the floor of the balcony.... the top of the boat was up to and past the rails on the balcony.... very misrepresented...

Ship tip

Carry ear plugs!!!! Loud music all over the ship all the time... I love music but the volume took away the enjoyment!!!

3 out of 5
We took this day to do shopping!! People here were not as friendly as we had hoped.... beautiful but I won’t go back!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
My husband and I both were sick at the time of disembarkment and after going to our Dr found out we have the flu... but we received very little assistance from Carnival.... we were both running fevers of 101.2 they just told us we had to get off and out of our room by 8:30 they could call an ambulance and take us to the hospital but that was all they could do!! But the disembarkation was the best and most organized of any of our seven cruises...most of Carnival staff were very polite and accomadating
