Review summary

It was our first cruise! And overall, we can't complain. In the future I will definitely research the ships before booking. The Miracle was fine, but it was much older than we had anticipated. We'd also be interested in cruises that are more targeted for our age group.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining rooms were well staffed the first few nights we attended. We attended the last sea day brunch in the MDR and the service was very slow and not optimal.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We used the fitness center. I was actually pretty impressed with it. The pools were okay. Mini golf. We attended a

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The performers/bands were entertaining. We saw them perform at a few different bars. We also enjoyed the violinists. The Love and Marriage show was hilarious.

Children's Programs

I don't have any kids and didn't pay attention to any children's offerings.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom steward was great! Most of our bartenders were friendly!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I wasn't terribly impressed with the ship. The restrooms were maintained as well as they could have.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect size for two of us. We both had plenty of space to store our items in the wardrobes and cabinets. We didn't know if you request a queen or king sized bed that they simply push two beds together, however.

Ship tip

It's a little bit dated.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
We simply left from Tampa.

Cozumel, Mexico

Nice port. We went to Mr. Sanchos (not a Carnival booked excurious). Totally worth it! $55 per person to eat and drink for the day on the beach with beach lounge chairs, picnic tables, bars, pool bars, and swings!

Belize City, Belize

3 out of 5
You had to take a water taxi from the ship to Belize. We did an eco park bike ride with pool. The park itself was nice, it wasn't terribly exciting. However, our tour guide, Paula, was very knowledgeable and sweet.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Loved Grand Cayman! We did a visit to Sting Ray City and kayaking in the mangroves. Wished we could have visited 7 mile beach and other places there. Not enough time in Grand Cayman!

Ericaware: don't give up on carnival. The miracle is my least favorite ship so far. Welcome to the cruise community. We're on number 4 in March and December#5.
