Review summary

This was our first time cruising and the few problems we had, we consider to be learning experience and did not hamper our fun and enjoyment. We plan to cruise again!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was good. We used the dining room only twice and found the buffets to be just as good. The dining room was nice, but we didn't want to give up so much time just to eat, there are so many other things to do!

Onboard Activities

Ulysses Main Pool

They are supposed to have a unique cup for purchase daily. We purchased a fish cup the first day from a waiter walking around selling them; however, we had to search for them each day thereafter, and each bar sent us to another bar, where they never had them but were able to successfully call the main bartender to bring one from an unknown area. We did go to guest services once to get one as well. So if you want silly memory cups - you have to work to get them! They shouldn't offer them if they aren't going to make them available.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Did not take children on this cruise. Survey did not allow me to submit by clicking "Not Applicable."

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The common areas were clean and well-maintained, but due to it being an older ship, it had very few outlets and no USB charging ports. I paid for WiFi and it was spotty, as is to be expected from satellite. It really needs to be updated with electrical outlets and USB ports.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was immaculate, although very dated, but who stays in their room on a cruise? The bed was amazingly comfortable!

Ship tip

More than one tip - Bring a multi-port charging station for your devices. Do not purchase the Cheers package for soda. You have to go to the bar to get your soda and they act like it's an inconvenience because they are not getting their gratuity like they do on alcoholic drinks. If you order a soda anywhere else, you are put at the bottom of the list and may never receive it. If you don't want to shop - book excursions through the cruise line, they are not responsible for you if you book from the street people. Bring canned soda and canned water with you to save time and money.

We did an excursion at this port and had a great time!

Belize City, Belize

Small port - need to book an excursion to really enjoy the area.

Cozumel, Mexico

The compound area is very expensive. You need to go outside the compound to shop and be ready to dicker. We did an excursion at this port and it was outstanding!

Disembarkation

Wow - this was just as easy as embarkation. Just do what they tell you to do and it goes smoothly!
