We have been on Carnival ships since about 2002. Have always liked how they made it affordable to us working folks. Seems everyone is cutting corners these days to save money. Carnival has cut little things that newer cruisers may not notice but it does take away some of the glory of cruising. It is by far the best deal out there though and we will continue to cruise at least twice a year. Thanks to too for getting us the absolute Best Price and benefits too. That always helps motivate us to go.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dinning room was very slow to get the food out. On the 2nd and 3rd nights it took 45 minutes to receive our salad and another 15 for the main entree. Food was good but not exceptional as we have experienced in the past. Not as many choices on Lido either. Where they used to have 4 different buffets open at night, now they have 2 serving the exact same things, an Asian Buffet and the Sandwich station.

We like the openness of the upper deck (10) and how you can go completely around the ship for walking.

Cabin Steward was great. Was always available for the little things.
Ship tip
It is a great ship but seems to have been past up on some of the upgrades the newer ships have.
Tampa's port is much like pulling up to a large shopping center. Much better than entering the prison camp of Port Everglades and others. Haha. The parking at Parking Doctors just down the street is awesome too. No pressure to hurry in the parking lot like at one of the competitors.
Again a great safe place to walk to a beach, rent a bicycle or take a cab to a beach. We walked to just past The Warf and hit what amounted to our own private beach.
Great and accurate review. My first cruise was on the spirit in 2002 and have been on all 4 of the spirit class ships and many others. I love Carnival and now I'm platinum and will continue. Hope to travel on the new horizon class soon
Heading out on the Miracle on November 17th... Been on the Pride twice and love tbus size ship... Cant wait to sail on the Miracle... And great comments make one want to get on a ship...
My wife and I and various family members have been on the miracle 3x and to us is the best carnival ship. We also sailed the sister ship legend 1x and love the smaller crowds and the openness of the outer decks.
