Review summary

Not our best cruise, but not our worst either. Will probably pay more attention to the age of the ship next time. This was the oldest ship we have cruise on by 5 years and it felt like it. However, we have cruised Carnival, Celebrity, and Princess cruise lines. Carnival is our favorite by far when it comes to entertainment and on-board activities.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Drinks were excellent. Non-dining room food was not. Seemed as if they were trying to get you to use the dining room or the other "for fee" restaurants. Lines were a problem and never were both of the grills at the main pool open at the same time despite the lines. Pizza was popular, but rarely was more than one person working in the pizza area which again caused long lines and wait times.

Entertainment

The comedy shows were fantastic. The acoustic guitar player (Kyle) was amazing!. He is a very talented and gifted young man!

Service and Staff

Our steward, Armando, was courteous, extremely proficient, diligent, and always very friendly.

Ship Quality

While it was always clean, the ship just seemed a little dated in the decor.

Rating is a result of the excursion I went on. My wife enjoyed the shopping at the port. I went scuba diving. Current was very fast which didn't allow for taking very good pictures. Dive was exhausting because of the speed of the current which shortened dive time considerably.

Went scuba diving. Best dive I've ever been on. Javier and Barbra (dive masters) were excellent!
