Review summary
This boat is old and really needs an update. We were disappointed it didn't have a screen outside by the pool for Dive-in movies. All that said, the employees were super friendly and helpful and our family of 5 had a wonderful time. For being old, the boat was kept very clean. Food was plentiful but not always tasty. Sandwich bar is fantastic! Love ice cream around the clock and ate my weight in Melting Chocolate Cake--sweet mercy! For a 7-day cruise, family of 5 and two balcony rooms, an older boat was worth the cheaper price. I suppose if we had ever been on a luxury cruise, this would be a disappointment. We choose to make the best of any situation and enjoy time with family. Our 10 year old was really apprehensive about cruising for the first time and also going to Camp Ocean. She ended up loving it and cried when she had to leave her new friends. Last thing: Prepare yourself for a frustrating debarkation process. When we arrived in port and people started getting off the boat, we found out there was ONE customs agent for 2500 +/- people. By the time we got there, there were 3 agents. This is not Carnival's fault or the terminal workers. Totally on customs. However, Carnival could've done a better job and making frequent apologies and announcements with updates as to what was going on. Be patient and be nice to the Carnival employees. Nothing they can do about Customs problems.Embarkation
