Review summary

Boat is very out dated, room was dirty and room service dishes would sit in the hall ways for hours. Cheers package was a waste of money. Bubbly package was a waste of money. Should have known when there were tons of guests carrying on cases of soda and their own cups. Every time we wanted a drink we had to find an open bar, never saw anyone to get us drinks. Do not do late dining or you will miss everything. All shows were geared towards the early dining guests. If you are a late night person-good luck! Food late night is the choice of pizza or hotdogs, hamburgers, fries or a small selection sandwiches. This boat has nothing after 11 or so just the casino is open all night. Bars on the pool deck closed around 6 so if you wanted to swim and have a drink you had to find an open bar. Room: was dirty and we constantly had to call about pool towels and you could not exchange dirty towels at the pool. Towels at the pool had to be signed out and returned by 8pm. Food at the buffet was average and the lines where so long. Took over 30 min to get pizza all the time. Dining room food was nothing special, had the same thing just about every night with a few changes. Waiters did not know our names until the last night. We’ve been on cruises where the wait staff had our drinks and apps waiting for us when we arrived for dinner. These people did nothing besides bring us food. Never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or even if we needed anything from the bar. We had three cabins and were not even placed together for dinner until we all squeezed into the table. (10 people at a table set for 6 people) Felt very nickled and dimed on this cruise. The performers for the shows were horrible and could not sing or dance. The only awesome show was the comedy with Manny. He is hilarious. The cruise director was nice and his staff was great. We booked with prepaid gratuities and where charged gratuities by Carnival. We called while on boat and they could do NOTHING for us. We are now fighting to get our money back. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR A CRUISE.

I was on the same ship and we never ran out of things to do. Pubs, nightclub all open until well after 11. We didn't get to our room until after 1am on At Sea days. (Early on port days.) We loved the cruise.

We took this ship last spring and had a great time. Tasted great by the staff as always and the bands in the lower decks were awesome. A person commented about a month ago saying the grape lights in the dining room were ugly and some burned out. My wife and I found the grapes to be unique and we would count the burned out ones each night and say those were the ready to pick grapes. You can complain or you can have fun. We choose to have fun.

Been on 23 cruises. More than half with Carnival. Never had a bad cruise. I am thankful just being able to go. Life is a blessing. Enjoy the day.

That’s great to hear fmarlowe! I’m looking forward to our cruise and my travel planner actually said even though it’s older it’s one of her favorites because it is very unique. This will be our 11th cruise with Carnival as well and we have never been on one of the “big ships”. In fact our first cruise was on the little Celebration and I loved it too!

Mrspope14 like I said I've been on this ship twice and I really enjoyed myself my family did too. Have no worries. Like I said this ship is out of date a little. But it's still amazing ship, you will get out of a cruise what you put into it, I absolutely love Carnival Cruise Line

I've been on this amazing boat twice, and I never had a bad experience or none of the Carnival ship, now some ships are out of date, but you make the best of it and what you put into a cruises what you can get out of the cruise, not criticizing somebody's reviews I hope the next time you take a cruise I'll be better for you don't make one bad experience change your thinking on cruising with this company, I've been on Royal Caribbean a few times myself this coming October will be my 11th cruise on Carnival so far Carnival has been the best cruise line I've been on, but that's only my opinion

Reviews are made and put in the public domain. As such ppl are allowed to comment on them , agreeing or criticizing is a personal response and you should not be aplalled. Every one is entitled to respond and as long as it id not abusive i see no problem with that. Get over it and try not to be do touchy

Gosh, I’ve never heard of a cruise being so terrible. If not for all the good reviews of this ship I would be a little worried about our cruise now.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Hope you find a cruise line that fits your needs. The only way to get a table for everyone in a large party on Carnival (and I suspect other lines as well) is to link the bookings before sailing.
