We had a great time! Made new friends, ate too much, got lots of exercise, and got to see things many people never get to see. Seven days just didn't seem long enough. Going to book a longer cruise for the next one. Thank you Carnival for having fun ships!!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Of course everyone wants to get on the ship right away, but that's not possible. We were in zone 6 and had a great time chatting with new people, but aside from having to wait, it was orderly and went fairly quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Loved the staff in the MDR. The food was good and I ate too much, but it wasn't off the chain good. Pizza Pirate is kick ass and I loved it. The Deli was good, but not as good as the Paradise. Only had breakfast once on the buffet and it was good also. The bars are awesome!!!! Doesn't matter which one, they were all good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was a lot going on, but we really didn't participate except to go to the Serenity area (adults only). Very nice and quiet, but too crowded.
Entertainment
Didm't go to any entertainment.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, Luis, is top notch. Remembered all of our names, remembered when we wanted our room cleaned, remembered when we wanted ice and had a great sense of humor.
Our dining room waiters were also top notch. Yiem (we called him Yummy) is from China and was quick, efficient and had a great sense of humor. His assistants, Ericson and Pornpan were polite, quiet and had things cleared as each course was ready.
Kathy is the Casino bar was an awesome server with a good sense of humor. And Pedro, the server on the Lido deck, always had a smile or a song and made everyone feel happy.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was spotless. There was always someone cleaning.
Cabin / Stateroom

Extremely comfortable and clean. Always spotless when we came back to the room. Would have liked something a little larger for the 3 of us, but we'll try a suite nect time.
Ship tip
Patience. You are on vacation. Relax and breathe. There isn't always someone there at the snap of the finger, but they are working hard and will be there shortly.
Beautiful and tropical. Spend the $14 for an all day pass on the chair lift. You can see so much from that and it takes you from the port to the beach and back, as many times as you want. The shopping in the main area is awesome. The homemade rum cakes are a must have.
The port itself is very nice and lots of bargains. They expect you to bargain with them. Unfortunately our excursion was cancelled because the bus broke down. It isn't safe to leave the port, which is behind large metal gates with armed guards, unless you are on an excursion.
My third time in Cozumel. No excursion this time. Decided to check out the shopping instead and eat local. Pancho's Backyard is soooo good. It's at the far end of the port. Very relaxing eating on the patio and the food was the best. If you want a bargain, go to the Mayan Flea Market. It's a store in the port. Everything to could want for souvenirs, or for yourself, at bargain prices.
Seemed to take forever because we were in zone 17. Got spoiled on the Paradise because we priority boarding and disembarking, but we were regular travelers this time and didn't know we had to get our own bags tags until it was almost too late and wound up in one of the last zones.
Be careful. two weeks is double EVERYTHING. Good (food, fun relaxing) and bad (FOOD) lol. No it is fun but hard to go back to work. I don’t know how people do month cruises. Not saying I wouldn’t like to see for myself though.
