Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room was the highlight of our day. The grandchildren tried many different dishes so it was a great experience for them. Our waiter was also very good.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There was only put-put golf (small course), small waterslide and 2 pools. Not enough to accommodate the 800+ kids who where on the ship.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
There were over 400 Michigan residents on the ship so Carnival aired the Michigan basketball final four game. However, there were chairs set-up near the stage for the previous event that they did not remove so those who arrived first chose those close seats and blocked the screen for those in the audience. We asked if those on the floor could move to the theatre seating (because there were numerous empty chairs) but Carnival would not do it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward and dining staff were EXCEPTIONAL.

Ship tip

Do not purchase the internet. It is not good on this ship. It took 1-1/2 hours to check-in for our flight home using the ship computers.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
We had priority disembarkation because we had suite rooms and 5 little children. Our families were separated, part of us were sent one direction, part of us the other. It was disorganized.

How big are the main dining room tables?

Sounds to me that there was extremely poor planning by the Michigan people. It's a small ship.
