Review summary
The cruise was okay, but not great. The issue I have is with an excursion I had booked prior to departure, as recommended by Carnival. They cancelled the excursion prior to departure and promised a refund to my credit card in 5-7 days. After calling the company, they said I would receive the amount I put on a gift card in 10 days, which would have allowed me to use it on the cruise. I did not receive the refund until after the cruise and it was short by $16. I have spent 5 phone calls of my time with the company asking them for a refund and asking them to do it in a way I can use the money, they have refused to refund the money in any other way than a gift card, they want to make sure I spend the money on them, along with whatever money I have to spend to accomplish that. To do this, they have spent the same amount of time on the phone in addition to the cost of making new card and mailing them via express mail, which I am sure they will do again. My girlfriend wants me to go on a cruise with her and I right now, I don't want to go again. If she does talk me into it, I will not be sailing on Carnival.Embarkation
